Minimalist Bible: Creation Day 3

I've been a big fan of the minimalist poster designs. Taking something as complex as a person or a movie and stripping it down to one powerful graphical element that is instantly recognizable. I wanted to do something unique; something that had never been done before. So God hit me alongside the head with an idea: Bible stories. If you wish to see the previous posters, check out Creation Day 1and Creation Day 2 now.

Over the last few weeks, I have been unveiling my original minimalist poster series focused on the Creation story each Wednesday. Now, I get really excited for Wednesdays because I get the pleasure of revealing the next poster of the series. With no further delay, here is Creation Day 3.

Creation Day 3 comes from Genesis 1:9-13 (NLT) which says, "Then God said, 'Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear.' And that is what happened. God called the dry ground 'land' and the waters 'seas.' And God saw that it was good. Then God said, 'Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.' And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation—all sorts of seed-bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. And evening passed and morning came, marking the third day."  I just love how creative God can be—from brilliantly colored flowers that produce wonderful smells to the simplistic form and function of a blade of grass that helps prevent erosion. God is the best gardener out there. He was able to plant every different kind of plant—and they instantly grew within one day. Now no one else out there can claim that! HA!
