The Staniger Family | Real Life Session '15
The Stanigers are close, personal friends of ours; we go way back to the college days. Charlie and Amanda are so important in our lives! Chad and I like to think of ourselves as wannabe Aunt and Uncle to their two adorable daughters, and babysitting them used to be one of my favorite things to do. In fact, moving away from these sweet people was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do. Video chats are great, but when we get the opportunity to hang out with them in-person in Wisconsin, we soak in every moment! We play like there’s no tomorrow, stay up late swapping stories, and laugh together like there hasn’t been a day missed.
Documenting their family is such an honor. I can’t think of two parents I respect more than Charlie and Amanda! They lead and guide their kids so well, create teachable moments out of nearly everything, and encourage independence, responsibility and life skills even at their daughters’ young ages. When these photos were made in July, Kaylee was 3 years and 8 months old and Ellie was 1 year and 7 months old.
Some of these moments captured during our time with them are so genuinely REAL, that they are some of my favorite documentary photographs I’ve taken to date. I hope you receive as much joy out of looking at these image highlights as I do. And for your parents out there, I hope these images take you back and flood your mind with irreplaceable memories of your own families.
